Vice President of Education

This role is with a private equity backed private school system that caters to special/alternative education K-12. This group has gone from 6 locations to 50 in the last two years and they are continuing to build out and acquire. The Vice-President of In-District Placement Services (IDP) serves as a consultant, specialist, coach, and mentor for all services and is responsible for aspects of promoting, securing and leading services within school districts. The VP will promote the mission and vision of the company within the school district environment and create strong relationships with these partners.

This role will report directly to the Chief Education Officer.

Location: Remote - Can be located anywhere in the northeast


• Develop a plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work toward the strategic direction of the organization. Plan for efforts to achieve the strategic outcomes of clinical services health, growth, and strength in quality
• Provide strong leadership for organization.
• Establishes and maintains contact with field professionals to understand issues, trends, and field priorities of the intervention teams.
• Mentor team in a manner that promotes success, efficiency, and ongoing development within our school district partners environment.
• Observes, collaborates, and takes an active role in clinical procedures as a coach that develops large scale standards.
• Lead professional development for clinicians and staff for improved skills.
• Assist to maintain a culture that embodies the company values and brings the mission/vision to life. The culture should be characterized by a customer service attitude in which respect, disciplined behavior, challenging work, and high achievement is expected of all students and staff in all environments.
• Commit to enhanced clinical, educational, and behavioral concepts to improve quality and outcomes for student success.
• Develop and implement quality assurance measures and provide ongoing assessment to ensure the provision of quality services. Assist in creating best practices.
• Lead clinical oversight of billing responsibilities and insurance regulations.
• Work within the EMR system for clinical oversight of documentation, audits, and clinical expertise.
• Develop and implement strategies to motivate staff to meet high performance expectations, to instill high ethical standards, and create an atmosphere of teamwork both internally and with our district partners.
• Develop statewide work groups that increase clinical services scope and standard.
• Provide research-based clinical recommendations to teams for enhanced service delivery.
• Provide coaching, education, and specialized training to the services teams.
• Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure recruiting needs are met, employment legal requirements are in compliance, and ongoing HR administration needs of employees are addressed.
• Collaborate with CEO/ CEDO/COO/CFO regarding operational excellence and team response to best practice adoption.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Department to increase visibility within the community.
• Behave and communicate in a manner that promotes and fosters a culture of teamwork, cooperation, diversity, inclusion, belonging and respect with all employees, supervisors/managers, community, and visitors.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and deliver data within reports and presentations for state-wide initiatives. Create a national presence.
• Be an expert in educational and clinical practices and enhance the national brand.
• Attend conferences and present the company's schools as a national leader in specialized services.
• Travel 25% to schools and service locations in all identified working states.


• Master’s degree in Clinical or Educational content or relevant field
• 10 years’ experience in a school or school services environment with children with learning and behavioral challenges; 5 years of which were in a leadership position. Clinical experience preferred.
• Commitment to and experience with students from diverse backgrounds with unique clinical, academic, and behavioral needs
• Experience in building new business or service areas
